Our story
At the heart of this artwork flows the Marrambidya (Murrumbidgee) River, the lifeblood of North Wagga and a place of deep cultural, environmental and community significance. For generations, the Marrambidya has connected communities, sustained life, and played a central role in the history and identity of North Wagga. Like the river itself, each student's journey is one of movement, growth and change, flowing through their time at North Wagga Public School. Surrounding the river are a series of meeting places connected by footprints, representing the learning, growth and experiences of students throughout their time at the school. Together, these journeys create the strong, connected school community, with the Marrambidya River remaining a constant reminder of the importance of place, connection and belonging.

"The thing I love most about North Wagga Public School is that my children are genuinely happy and excited to go to school every day. From the warm welcome they receive from the principal and executive staff at the front gate each morning to the caring, energetic teachers who go above and beyond, every child is made to feel valued. The learning support and extension opportunities are outstanding, and the wellbeing programs, fun skits and videos, and regular sharing of everyday school moments and successes show just how much the staff care about creating a positive, connected school community where students thrive".
